Dohtonbori goes local with its lineup of Filipino-inspired okonomiyaki

Okonomiyaki restaurant Dohtonbori has just announced that it is launching “The Filipino Okonomiyaki Experience,” which sees three Japanese-style savory pancakes receiving a Pinoy twist using local flavors beloved by Filipino foodies.

In Japan, the okonomiyaki is usually made using a combination of flour, eggs, shredded cabbage, and a meat filling, which are then formed into a patty and grilled on both sides.

From now until Sept. 17, customers can buy the pancakes cooked in the flavors of kare kare, Bicol Express, and sisig. All are priced at PHP385 (US$7.36) each and are available in all six of Dohtonburi’s branches.
