Some Filipinos joke that Conti’s Bakeshop and Restaurant is an auntie-magnet, where groups of middle-aged ladies can let their hair down and throw caution to the wind the only way aunties know how: with comfy chairs and soothing elevator music.

But in all fairness, even hipper-than-thou teenagers would have to admit that the local bakery chain actually has some pretty decent desserts.

It’s newest cake, called Pistachio Harmony, could feasibly be one such that everyone, both young and old, can get behind. Priced at PHP795 (US$15), the cake has three layers of chiffon, made sweeter with a pistachio cream filling. The top comes sprinkled with cashew and, as the name suggests, pistachio.

Diners can order the cake in the restaurant, through Conti’s official website, or by calling (+632) 8-580-8888.

Conti’s Bakeshop first opened in Parañaque City in 1997 and has since branched out all across the metro area, becoming known for its Baked Salmon, Chicken Pie, and Mango Bravo cake.
