Breakfast Crunch: The Lost Bread drops a new line of cereal milkshakes

Breakfast for dessert or dessert for breakfast? Dessert concept café The Lost Bread has partnered with Nestlé to bring you a milkshake line that qualifies as both, featuring shakes blended and topped with five different kinds of breakfast cereal.

Whether that elicits a “yum” or a “yuck” will likely depend on how you feel about the multicolored milk at the bottom of your bowl of Fruity Pebbles. But personally, we think milk and cereal blended together seems like a pretty good idea for a cute-looking dessert (hey, it worked for Christina Tosi at New York’s famed Milk Bar).

The limited-edition Nestlé dairy shakes are based on the brand’s Milo, Koko Krunch, Honey Stars, and Corn Flakes cereals. There’s even one featuring Fitnesse, a brand of purportedly healthy whole-grain cereal.

Each 16-ounce dairy-and-cereal-shake is selling for PHP120 (US$2) for an undefined limited time period in Lost Bread branches across the country.

Think you’re up for the creamy, crunchy treat?

The Lost Bread is a local cafe that specializes in soft-serve ice creams, milkshakes, and French-toast cubes. The brand started as a food park stall in Quezon City in 2015 before opening a flagship store in SM Megamall in 2017, and now has around 15 branches across the metro area.
