Woman loses RM117K, claims victim of hex

An elderly woman in Ipoh found herself the victim of what she claims is a hex. The 70-year old was robbed of nearly RM117,000 after she was approached by a woman in Ipoh’s Central Market. The woman, Kan Wai Leng, was asked if she knew someone by the name of Dr Wong. She did not.

A few minutes later, a separate woman, in her 40s told Kan that she knows Dr Wong and that he had saved her mother-in-law.

“When I met the second lady,” she said. “She touched my palm and my face turned cold.”

Out of the shadows, another woman appeared, and claimed she was Dr Wong’s granddaughter. She told Kan that a ghost was following her.

The women then led her to visit the mysterious Dr Wong that they spoke of. Kan reported that she was unwilling to go, but felt powerless as a result of the “charm” they had already cast on her.

The group drove to a bank on Jalan Yang Kalsom, and demanded the woman withdraw all of her money, which totalled RM115,628.15. Upon telling the group she had another account, they headed to another bank to withdraw a further RM1,000.

Giving them her money, the group brought her to a mall for prayers that they said would help her.

“They asked me to look outside the window when they were praying. Once it was over, they passed a black plastic bag and asked me to open it on May 20.”

Once the spell had worn off, she looked into the mysterious bag and found a package of salt and two mineral water bottles. No word on their role in the spell, or if they deterred the ghost.

She then lodged a police report.
