Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) held a press conference today to announce that they had made their largest bust of the year at KLIA on October 19, with a seizure of 254kg of ketamine.

Ketamine, commonly used by veterinarians to tranquilize large animals, such as horses, can also be used recreationally. Its recreational effects can range from a mild trance-like chill, to a deep state of dissociation from one’s surroundings, including auditory and visual hallucinations, and a general inability to move anywhere or talk to anyone. They don’t call it a K-hole for nothing!

While relatively short-lasting, you might die, and if you don’t, potentially scare the bejesus out of everyone around you. Also, long-term use will make you incontinent.

Colostomy bag makers breathed a collective sigh of disappointment when narcotics officers discovered that 248 boxes labeled as Chinese tea at KLIA2 were actually ketamine. The value of the seizure was estimated to be RM12.7 million (US$3 million).

Police added that the bust was a joint operation with cooperation from the Ministry of Justice Investigation Bureau of Taiwan. The shipment was waiting in transit to Taipei when the bust occurred.

Live to control your own urine another day, kids.
