Early morning commuters taking the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) may have found traffic exceptionally slow today after an overturned lorry spilled tons of rice and mee hoon (rice noodles) onto the road.
At approximately 10am, a truck lost control near exit 104, towards Kelana Jaya, causing a jam that stretched from Damansara to Subang, as the spilled goods and lorry covered bother the left and center lanes.

Authorities spent the morning moving the rice and noodle packets to the side of the road, so that oncoming traffic could move with greater ease.

No specific cause of the crash has been reported. Not quite a beer spill, but we’ve never said no to a side of rice.
