Perennial Instagram over-sharer Chef Wan drops comments about daughter’s divorce and child custody terms

Chef Wan, and his daughter Serina

Oh, Chef Wan. Not a day goes by where you don’t make it on to my radar. If you’re not over sharing about your daughter’s husband being a cheapskate, you’re telling me that haute cuisine Korean desserts look like dick-tips. I want to just throw this out there, so you’re not confused. I like you. I really like you. Your shirts are ace, and if you were ever to make me dinner I would eat every last grain of rice you had. All the sambal would be gone (into my tummy). I think you’d be the perfect host to a Southeast Asian Masterchef, and bring some real local vibes and energy to it.

All of this being said, you find yourself here on CoconutsKL because you don’t seem to know when to stop saying too much on social media. For real, there is TMI on your Insta posts.

Like on Sunday, when you told us more about your daughter, actress Serina Redzuawan and her husband, Gavin Edward O’Luanaigh’s, divorce, and how gave custody of the children to her former spouse.

Why do we even need to know these details

Here we go: Not wanting to “traumatize” the children any more with divorce proceedings, Serina has given Gavin full custody, in spite of protests from Datuk Redzuawan Ismail, as he is formally known.

He writes on an accompanying photo of his grandchildren on Instagram that he “offered to have her and the kids stay at my old house in Ampang, or join me at my current residence in Cyberjaya, but she allowed them to stay with Gavin.”

Chef Wan, no one wants to live in Cyberjaya. He added that the situation had been giving him sleepless nights.

He added that it was pertinent for the children to be under their mother’s care and that he “pray(s) she does not regret her decision.”

Serina responded in an Instagram post yesterday (goodness, does this family not speak to each other normally?), that she and Gavin will jointly look after them.

She wrote, “I’m not neglecting my children. That’s malicious slander. I know what my responsibilities are.

Wow. Ok Wan Fam. I hate to see you like this, as much as I love writing about this. It’s time you got together over something sedaaaap Chef Wan has made, and agree that everyone needs to disable their Instagram account for at least a month, k? Can we do that?
