A left-behind passenger on a morning express bus traveling in northern Malaysia was so enraged that the driver had driven off without him, that he hailed a taxi specifically to chase down the bus, and then stabbed the driver when the bus arrived at its next stop, a terminal outside of Alor Star, Kedah.

The man had reportedly stepped out of the bus to use the bathroom at 10:30am yesterday. Unaware that the passenger hadn’t returned, the driver left.

Sixteen bus passengers witnessed the incident, and subsequent attack.

The bus had originally left Johor, and was on its way to Perlis when assault occurred.

Having stabbed the driver in the shoulder, the man then fled on foot, leaving his personal belongings behind in the luggage hold.

The victim received stitches for three centimeter knife wound.

Police have identified the suspect, and are currently tracking him down.
