KL police officer shoots friend in butt after late drinking session. Police investigating if he was ‘intoxicated’

A local police officer has been arrested after a drinking session at his local with a couple friends resulted in the officer discharging his weapon 5 times. Unfortunately, one of the bullets hit his friend. In the butt.

City police chief Comm Datuk Amar Singh reported to The Sun that the 5am incident this morning in Sri Rampai, Setapak happened at a restaurant, and that the suspect is believed to hold the rank of detective.

Police then arrested the officer, and his friend. Both suspects are being held for further investigations, including confirmation of whether or not he was intoxicated.
