High-ranking bank official falls to his death

A man fell to his death from the fifth floor of a building in Plaza Damansara on Thursday morning, Bernama reports.

The police were reportedly alerted to the incident by members of the public and when they reached the scene, they found the man’s body sprawled on the ground in a pool of blood.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Sharul Othman Mansor told the news agency that the victim has been identified as 42-year-old Soh Ming Sang, deputy president of the CIMB Bank Plaza Damansara branch.

He said a medical team from the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre arrived at the scene at 11am and confirmed that Soh had died due to severe head injuries.

ACP Sharul added that initial investigation showed that there were no signs of foul play.

A post mortem examination will be carried out and the police will take a statement from the victim’s wife soon, ACP Sharul told Bernama.
