In the early hours of yesterday morning, three men posing as police officers robbed a family of four in Section 7 of Shah Alam.

Police report that the men knocked on the family’s door at 4:50am, stating they were from Selangor police headquarters.

Plot twist: they were dressed in civilian clothing, had no badges, and no warrant.

People, we have to be a little less trusting, and at least ask for one of those three before letting anyone into our home.

After being allowed in, the trio subsequently handcuffed the four residents, and ransacked the house for mobile phones, laptops, and jewelry. Police are still tallying the family’s losses from the robbery. Three of the four are in their 20s and the fourth member is in his 50s.

Police were informed of the incident at 7:15am, and arrived on the scene to find the family still cuffed.

Law enforcement are now currently hunting down the suspects, and have released two composite sketches.

They have also added that police would never enter a house without a warrant, and to be wary of late-night callers claiming to be.
