Double-parked car in Sabah gets top to tire graffiti treatment, in broad daylight, in front of hospital

Sabah: where parking is not to be trifled with. An incident on Wednesday saw two senior citizens bust into a supermarket and beat up an employee who asked them to stop blocking traffic.

Earlier that day, a vehicle double-parked outside of Likas Hospital, found itself covered top to tires in graffiti. It seems that the disgruntled parking vigilantes had no access to a parking clamp, so improvised with a red sharpie and went to town writing and drawing all over the car.

Phrases on what appears to be a Proton included “I wanna grow old with you” (sweet), “I will always love you” (throwback! RIP Whitney), “Have a deep relationship with God” (Yes, Mom) and “Expect less” (So much wisdom in a Proton).

No police report has been filed, although police are “monitoring” the hospital. Wait, for illegal parking, or for people carrying red markers? Both?

There you have it. When in East Malaysia: Bring your IC or passport and remember: perceived parking affronts warrant retribution in Sabah.
