Her single, I Am Me, made waves across Malaysia and beyond when its full-length version debuted two weeks ago. Since then, it has been the subject of many parodies, and as many WTF reactions, a Datuk Vida has rhinestones. That is to say, many and also glittering.
Newspaper Berita Harian now reports that the millionairess sensation wants to bring a bit of 2012 pizazz into the mix, and duet with K-pop superstar Psy. Obviously.
Datuk Vida went on to say that she “thought it would take a long time for it to gain popularity, but it became viral in such a short time. As I had hoped, the song became a phenomenon not only in Malaysia, but in many other countries too.” By “many other countries,” she means a few thousand confused Indonesians, and an unfazed Malaysian diaspora.
Now that she understands the Internet, and virality, Vida says to keep your eyes peeled for her second single. While in now rush, she says it’s dropping next year.
No idea how she plans to follow up this masterpiece, but we have all the confidence in the world it’s gonna be good.
