Commuters left stranded after ‘wheel’ glitch forces LRT to stop abruptly

It was one of those days for LRT commuters when an unexpected breakdown caused a delay on Friday morning.

According to The Star Online, a LRT train suffered a wheel glitch at around 8.55am, shortly after departing the KL Sentral station.

The train reportedly stopped abruptly on the tracks for a couple of minutes before making its way to the Pasar Seni station where commuters were asked to vacate the train.

RapidKL immediately took to their Twitter account to clarify the issue:

The news portal reported that there was smell of burning rubber as well as light smoke inside the train as it was approaching the Pasar Seni station.

An empty train reportedly arrive some 15 minutes later to pick up the commuters from the station, and all is well in the world again.
