A man claiming to be a bomoh (shaman) was arrested last week, after a factory worker in Tampin accused him of raping her at a hotel in June, and again in July.
The Sun reports that after befriending the mystic via WeChat (yo, this app is dangerous y’all), the 37-year-old man asked the victim to send naked photos of herself, so that he could determine if any spirits were affecting her.
Tampin police say that the bomoh then told the woman she was haunted by a mystic presence, and the only cure … was to meet him in a hotel. When the 29-year-old victim arrived, the man revealed the only way to rid herself of the “presence” was to have sex with him. When she refused, he raped her.
The man then used to naked photos to blackmail the woman, telling her he would circulate them if she did not follow his instructions. A month after the first incident, he told her to come to the hotel again, and raped her for a second time.
Appalling, but prepare yourself to be even more disgusted: the man demanded RM50 from the victim as a fee for his services. Yes, you have read correctly. The victim paid a total of RM100 to be raped by a bozo bomoh. Just when you think people can’t go any lower, they’re like “Hold my coconut,” and prove you wrong.
The woman filed a police report last week, and the man was picked up at a gas station the same day. He tested positive for drugs, and negative for any semblance of human decency.
