Tiffin Food Court postponed: Merriment extravaganza on hold until authorities and organizers can reach agreement

Some sad news to start the weekend, and we’re very sorry to do this: The incredible Tiffin Food Court that we were able to visit last weekend, and was to run through the entirety of the month, has been postponed with immediate effect.

One may find it hard to think of the kinds of concerns that could be at hand. From our visit last weekend, there seemed to be a lot of people eating a lot of really good food, and enjoying being somewhere that isn’t inside a mall or smoky nightclub. What do we know, though! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The food event that was taking place in a 30,000-square-foot warehouse bringing together food, music and merriment is now hanging in limbo over its future.

A press statement revealed that they are working together to address freshly raised queries by the authorities, and that they hope that they can work together to reach a mutually beneficial arrangement.

We hope so too. There was incredible food last weekend, and it would be a shame for anyone to miss out on something like this. Our fair city needs more of this, not less. Here’s to hoping that everyone can resolve things promptly, and I can finally try that brisket at Mom’s BBQ.
