(Video) Police investigating 10 second knife attack caught on CCTV

Police are on the hunt for three knife-wielding men who were caught on camera attacking another man in Tai Po yesterday evening.

CCTV footage of the attack which took place at around 6:30pm near the Elegance Garden housing estate in Nam Wan Road has been doing the rounds online.

The victim — a 34-year-old man surnamed Tang — is currently being treated at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin, hk01 reports.

In the video, which lasts just over a minute, Tang can be seen walking back and forth between a large white Lexus and the entrance of a doctor’s office. At one point he is seen talking to someone inside the car.

Suddenly, another white car appears, stops, and three men in black wearing balaclavas can be seen running out of the car.




Tang sees the three men, runs, then trips on the sidewalk, where they slash at him with three long knives, before running back to their car and driving off. The chilling encounter lasted about 10 seconds.

During the attack, a woman with long hair is seen walking out of the doctor’s office, but then runs back inside when she sees the three men attacking Tang.

As the three attackers escape, two women sitting inside the white Lexus get out of the car to call for help.

According to Apple Daily, Tang sustained cuts on his neck, back, and arms. He was helped by a doctor who was working in the nearby clinic before being sent to hospital.

The newspaper reported that at about 1am this morning, police in Ta Kwu Ling found a car that had been set on fire. Officers believe the vehicle is to connected to the knife attack.
