It’s the first day of December, which means it is time for us here at Coconuts HK to look back at November’s offerings of #HKdashcamwatch.
It’s been a crazy month on the city’s roads. Several people have narrowly avoided death, like this cyclist, this truck driver and every one involved in this truck-crushing-a-taxi episode.
For our final installment as we wave goodbye to November, we’re serving up a video which shows, simply, the dangers of showboating.
The clip stars a motorcyclist who tries to do a wheelie the minute the traffic light turns green.
The footage is grainy, but you can clearly see it doesn’t go as planned, with the bike flipping over backwards and throwing its rider off.
Narrating the scene, the people watching from behind the dash cam sum it up pretty well
“Well done, well done, very smart,” they say.
A perhaps cruel assessment, but one that’s tough to argue with.
