A GoGoVan driver was taken to hospital this afternoon after surviving a crash in which his vehicle flipped over several times on a Hong Kong expressway.

The crash was caught on dash cam by Keung Siu, who was driving his truck along Tuen Mun Road and heading towards Yau Kom Tau in Tsuen Wan just after 1:20pm.

The video shows in the distance a coach on the left and a truck on the right driving side by side.

Suddenly, the truck swerves slightly to the left and a GoGoVan comes into view, rolling over repeatedly before landing on its side, with boxes and pieces of paper flying out of the van’s window.

Siu is then seen getting out of his vehicle to check on the GoGo Van’s driver, before returning to his own truck and reversing to make space so other vehicles don’t drive too close to the overturned van.

Photos posted on Facebook to groups dedicated to traffic news in Hong Kong also show paint brushes strewn across the road.

Ming Pao reported that the van driver was taken to hospital after complaining of chest pains.

Meanwhile, on.cc reported that the GoGoVan also hit the back of a private car — something not immediately apparent from the video — and that the driver of that vehicle was also taken to hospital.

Police are currently investigating what caused the crash.
