The people of Hong Kong let out a collective “awwww” on Wednesday after the Hong Kong Observatory released a video of birds that hatched at one of its buildings.
A red-whiskered bulbul laid eggs in a nest in one of the potted plants at the Observatory’s 1883 building in Tsim Sha Tsui at the end of May. Staffers monitored the newly-hatched birds closely, and created a video showing their incredible journey from eggs to fledglings ready to leave the nest.
The video is, most fittingly, hashtagged #ibelieveicanfly. Watch it below:
