Police have released a sketch of a suspect at large who is alleged to have molested two girls, aged eight and 11, in eastern Kowloon within two weeks.
The suspect is described as a Chinese man between 30 to 40 years old with short black hair, of thin build, and around 170 centimetres tall, Apple Daily reports.
He is wanted in connection to two cases which took place earlier this month.
On Nov. 2, a 11-year-old girl was walking to a tutoring clinic at around 5pm when a man touched her thigh outside Ngau Tau Kok MTR Station. The girl reportedly thought it was an accident and brushed it off.
Last Thursday (Nov. 10), the same man approached her while she was walking outside the station at around 5pm, and touched her groin area. The girl immediately ran home to tell her family what had happened and immediately filed a police report.
At around 9am on Monday (Nov. 14), an eight-year-old girl who was at Po Tat Shopping Centre in Sau Mau Ping with her mother and brother split off to buy ice cream on her own while her family waited at a nearby bus stop.
As she was walking alone on a footbridge outside the mall, a man reportedly dragged her by the neck to a secluded stairwell and molested her. The child told her mother what had happened afterwards and a police report was filed on the same day.
As both of the victims were assaulted within the same area and by suspects of roughly the same description, police believe the attacks could have been carried out by one man.
Anyone who saw something or has information to offer should call the investigating police officers from Sau Mau Ping District on 3661 6239.
