Police arrested a 13-year-old Hong Kong boy yesterday on suspicion of trafficking a dangerous drug.
Acting on intelligence, officers raided a men’s bathroom of Liberté Place Mall at 6pm yesterday and found the youth carrying one kilogramme of suspected ketamine, with an estimated street value of HKD27,000.
The boy told officers that he had agreed to traffic the drugs in order to earn a few hundred dollars of pocket money. Oriental Daily reports that he is believed to have a gang background, and is a Form 1 student at a Tsuen Wan secondary school.
An investigation by officers from the Sham Shui Po District Squad is underway.
