Three people were injured after a minibus and minivan collided into each other early this morning in Sai Kung.
At around 6:23am, a Sha Tin-bound Gogovan driving down Sai Sha Road in Sai Kung collided with a green minibus traveling in the opposite direction, Bastille Post reports. Both vehicles were damaged and both their drivers had to be freed by firefighters.
Both the minibus, a 62-year-old man surnamed Fong, and van driver, a 27-year-old man surnamed Chan, were sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for their injuries. One of Fong’s passengers, a 66-year-old man surnamed Yuen, was also hospitalized. Out of the three men, Fong sustained the most serious injuries, and reportedly broke a bone in his leg.
According to HK01, Chan told police that he had “felt faint for a second” before the accident.
Police closed off Sai Sha Road for investigation, but it has since been reopened.
