Caribbean Coast, Tung Chung
A 19-year-old jumped from his flat at Caribbean Coast in Tung Chung, hitting a bus outside the main door and bouncing onto the ground. He was rushed to the hospital but died.
The young man, surnamed Ho, lived with his family and was not at school or working. It is unknown why he jumped. Police are currently investigating his daily life from his computer.
This is the fourth suicide at the residential development in six months, the most gruesome of which involved a 42-year-old accountant who stabbed his sleeping wife with a knife before jumping off the building himself.
