Former ATV anchorman Kelvin Tang falls to death in Quarry Bay

Former ATV news anchor Kelvin Tang, also known by his nickname “Prince of News”, was reported dead today after his body was found in Taikoo Shing.

Apple Daily reports that Tang, aged 51, was found on the ground at 7.12am this morning, having fallen from a residential building.

He was taken to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital and certified dead shortly after. Police are currently investigating the cause of death.

Tang’s employer, Stephen Loh, said he suspected something was wrong when he tried calling Tang to ask why he was late for work and was put through to the police.

Loh, the CEO of the Digital Broadcasting Corporation (DBC), said that Tang’s death came as a surprise, since he was not affected by recent layoffs. Loh said Tang showed no abnormal behaviour at the company Christmas party last night.

Tang is survived by his wife and son. His wife was reportedly away for business when the incident occurred.
