Demonstrations of Deaf Rugby will take place at 10-11am and Inclusive Rugby for Special Needs Students with Kowloon Rugby Club and HandsOn Hong Kong  will follow at 11-12pm; at noon a demonstration and showcase of Wheelchair Rugby for the first time in Hong Kong.

Last, but certainly not least, is one rugby party that’s not to be missed. You already know Lee Gardens in Causeway Bay – you’ll walk right by it on your way to the matches! So there’s no better place for a rugby-themed party paradise. The Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens FanWalk will transform Lee Gardens into a party zone, bringing the famous Sevens atmosphere from the rugby pitch to the heart of Causeway Bay.

Where the World Comes to Play

Over Sevens weekend, Lee Garden One, the iconic shopping centre on Hysan Avenue, will become the epicenter of non-stop entertainment, food and music highlighting the different cultures of the national teams taking to the pitch.

Family friendly attractions include live dance performances, face painting, karaoke singalongs, African drums and even juggling, unicycling and stiltwalking. Food booths will serve up delicious fan favorites from seven sport-loving countries: South Africa, Australia, UK, US, Italy, France and Belgium. But that’s just a little taste of all the entertainment to expect.

Watch rugby come alive

In addition to all the entertainment, there will be live rugby action direct from the Stadium on the big screen and alternative live rugby commentary by Jed Thian. (Despite the stiltwalking, there are some serious games going on, people!)

There will even be rugby challenges and the chance grab a drink with Sevens Rugby Ambassadors including South African great Jean de Villiers; British Lion and Welsh Captain, Gareth Thomas; and Sevens Legends Waisale Serevi, Ben Gollings and David Campese.
