Creamfields, the biggest electronic dance music festival in the UK, has announced that its first Asian edition will take place in Hong Kong this December.

Lineup and location details are scarce at the moment, but at least the dates have been confirmed — set aside December 15 and 16 for what organizers are promising to be an epic two-day rave (… minus the gurning and mud, we hope). To get a feel for the talent the Creamfields name normally attracts, check out the lineup for their flagship UK festival this August, which features big players like Fatboy Slim, Pete Tong, Seth Troxler, Stormzy (#GrimeforCorbyn), Diplo, Eats Everything, Idris Elba (yeah, he DJs), and tons more.

The beloved British festival, which has been running since 1998, has been staged in Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, and Oceania, which begs the question: what the hell took them so long to come here? All snarkiness aside, we can’t wait to hear more about Creamfields Hong Kong in the upcoming months. Watch this space.

Earlier this year, leading Spanish electronic music festival Sónar staged a one-day festival at the Science Park in Tai Po, with international and local acts such as DJ Shadow, Lady Leshurr, Nosaj Thing, Ocean Lam, and Taku Hirayama performing.
