Two foreign drivers planted their Ferraris in a ditch Monday morning while driving back from vacationing in Krabi province.
The unidentified drivers, one from Singapore and one from Malaysia, were reportedly driving to an airport in Songkhla province to board a flight back to their home countries — accompanied by twenty other sports cars.
Yeah… that sounds a typical getaway.
The accident occurred near the exit of Ta Kham Mountain, when the white sports car lost control on the slippery road and rammed into the red car.
Fortunately, only two people — the passenger and driver of the white Ferrari — sustained minor injuries.
Suppachai, the owner of a local tow company that hauled the two damaged cars, told Coconuts yesterday afternoon that the red Ferrari was only slightly damaged on its side and the front right tire.
“The white car, on the other hand, is all gone” he said.
According to Suppachai, the group and both cars have returned to their home countries.
The caravan of supercars was driving on Sai Bo Lho road, which is, reportedly, known for being extremely winding and dangerous.
Locals say that they see the supercar drivers come to Krabi every year but, this time, they were using a different route and followed their GPS.
Though numerous local media have reported that the group was awarding scholarships to local students in the coastside province, the drivers told the towing company that they were simply on vacation.
Coconuts spoke to three different police stations in the province and none of them said that they had received a report from the drivers about the accident. Suppachai also said they did not report the accident, as far as he know.
Hmm millionaires getting into unreported accidents… doesn’t seem suspicious at all.
