A video of a violent street fight and shooting on a Bangkok street went viral yesterday as at least one man was hit by a bullet.
The fight, which police later identified was between students from two vocational colleges, took place on Lat Pla Khao road Soi 80 in Bang Khen district yesterday afternoon, and was captured on video by a taxi passenger.
“All of their vehicles did not have license plates. I was on a taxi and didn’t film the entire thing. I was afraid,” Facebook user Nacha Kaewkanya wrote.
Bang Khen police later arrested two male students, whose identities were not disclosed, at the nearby Ramintra Market. They admitted taking part in the fight.
After no injured person came forward to file a complaint, police took photos of the suspects and recorded their information and fingerprints before releasing them – just like that.
That was until 5pm, when a man who received a minor injury from the fight, Thanidech Ploychinda, 61, filed a police report after a bullet hit the left side of his stomach.
Police now will call the two students back and look at CCTV footage in the area to track down the shooter.
Although other people in the video appear to have been beaten badly, no one else has come forward to file a police complaint, Daily News reported.
