With the collapse of incoming travel due to closed borders, the tourism authority is appealing for expats living (or stuck) in Thailand to travel and spend more.
Those looking to tour sites without the usual crush of visitors can check out a three-day travel fair coming this weekend to luxe downtown mall EmQuartier.
Hosted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the campaign will offer foreign nationals travel packages ranging from flights and hotels to wellness trips and golfing deals.

Entry to Expat Travel Deal 2020 is free and the event will feature a live jazz band. Expect food stalls, live music, handicraft demonstrations, travel-related panel discussions and more.
Thailand has a large population of resident foreigners, with about 2.4 million active work permits as of June, according to the Labor Ministry. Since July, a THB22.4 billion travel stimulus for Thai nationals has drawn little interest despite increasingly appealing terms.
The event takes place from 10am to 10pm in the mall’s Quartier Gallery, which can be reached by skywalk from BTS Phrom Phong.
