A speeding grandma ran through a red light in Suphanburi province on Monday, slamming her pickup truck into six vehicles, injuring four people.

Footage of the incident, which was posted and went viral yesterday, shows three cars and three motorbikes waiting at the red light. But immediately after the light turns green and they pull into the intersection, the speeding pickup slams into all of them.

The driver was identified as 70-year-old Boonchu Janurb by police, who said she seemed to be in shock immediately after the crash and didn’t make sense during the initial questioning.

(Ed: The timestamp on the the video is incorrect. The video poster notes that the incident happened on Sept. 17, 2018 at 4:10pm.)

Pol. Lt. Piyaorn Kamwarn, an investigator at Muang Suphanburi, said that Boonchu was attempting to drive to her house in Don Deji district, but was actually headed in the wrong direction, something he attributed to her being “forgetful.”

Lt. Piyaorn said she had invited Boonchu and her daughter to come in for questioning later today, Amarin TV reported.

The four injured were sent to hospital. Three of them have been discharged, while one man with a serious leg injury is still being treated.
