A man confessed yesterday to killing his friend in Lamphun province because he resented the deceased for raping his cow.
Ta Kaewkam reveals he beat 41-year-old Annop Putthasat to death using a garden hoe to avenge his dishonored livestock.
Apparently – as such stories often begin – they’d been drinking together in the home they shared.
At some point, a drunk Annop went into the room they kept the cow and raped her. Ta caught his roomie in the act, and that’s when he grabbed for the hoe and bludgeoned Annop to death.
Ta reveals he hid the hoe and went to sleep in a hut in his rice field until the police discovered Annop’s body and searched for him.
Ta has been charged with murder, Banmuang reported.
