While venues across Thailand hosted a traditional lion dance to celebrate Chinese New Year, a luxury mall in Phrom Phong welcomed the Year of Dog last night with a transtalizing performance. It featured Thailand’s most famous trans actress wearing THB500 million worth of diamonds in her hair alongside a robotic dragon.
We’re not quite sure which mythology this performance is based on, but Treechada “Poyd” Petcharat, who won Miss International Queen 2004 and became a big-name actress in China, flew down from the top of the building in a floating lotus. She stopped briefly to wave her iconic white cape at the dude who we assume to be the “God of Dragon,” as the title of the show suggested.

Either way, it was reported that the diamond headpieces Poyd wore were worth over THB500 million, and the show successfully stopped passersby and shoppers who stared at the spectacle.
For those of you who don’t know Poyd, she previously topped Coconuts Bangkok’s list of the most popular trans beauties in Thailand. A decade after she came into fame, the 31-year-old remains an idol and is often dubbed “the most beautiful” in the transgender community.
