“When goods have stories to tell,” reads the premise from Tuangkamol Thongborisute.
Are we talking about handbags discussing their childhoods, or vegetables complaining about their awful day? That doesn’t sound creepy at all.
Maybe Tuangkamol is more interested in hearing from sofas and chairs at “Living Room,” an interactive exhibition opening Friday at Speedy Grandma.
The exhibition promises to show guests the stories behind furniture and household goods by enhancing them with “new functions” inspired by how people use them, as if they are alive. Again, not creepy at all.
Find out for yourself at the opening reception, which begins at 7pm on Friday. The exhibition runs through June 7.
