Let Me In Thailand, the Thai-edition of the very popular/kinda sad Korean surgery show of the same name, is back for another go-round, debuting its fourth season last night with the physical transformation of a Thai healthcare staffer.
The show, which flies Thais to South Korea for facial makeovers, put 25-year-old Apichen Rueksadee, under the knife for a revamping of his jaw, cheekbone, chin, and nose in a bid to make him look like a Korean rock star.
Apichen said that the main thing he wanted to change was his chin, which was described by the doctor as a “witch’s chin.”
We’re gonna go out on a limb here and say the doctor’s opinion was on the harsh side, particularly given that the guy looked just fine pre-surgery.
The show followed the moment Apichen surprised his 6-year-old son at school with a new face — and what kid doesn’t love to see his dad change faces! — and later his wife at a restaurant, after being absent for four months in Seoul. Neither immediately recognized Apichen.
The family — as well as his mother-in-law — now lives in a small studio apartment in Lat Phrao.
Apichen, whose current job is to assist doctors in a mobile health checkup service, says he hopes his new look will help him break into the entertainment industry, perhaps as a model or actor, in order to earn better income to take care of his family.
