A high-profile mime festival is set to take place in Bangkok, featuring leading mimes from all over the world.
We know what you’re thinking: Where is that ticket info?
Kon Rak Mime (literally “Mime Lovers”) Festival 2016 aims to show Bangkokians mime performances like they’ve never seen before. Some of the highlights include solo performance by Milan Sladek, Germany’s “Professor of Mime Arts” and one of the best-known performers in Cologne, and a group performance of “Off the Shore,” led by Thailand’s first professional mime performer, Paitoon Laisakul.
Aside from performances, those interested in the art of mime can take part in a mime workshop too. The festival will donate half of its proceeds to the project “Mime for Deaf Children,” a program run in deaf schools in Bangkok that allows hearing-impaired children to show off their creativity.
Go to Kon Rak Mime Festival’s website or their Facebook page for the schedule. Tickets are THB600 for each performance.
