Have you heard about our new original docu-series on iflix? Of course you have, because we’ve been telling you about dangdut fever, midget boxing, Thailand’s noble horse-riding monk, and the plight of Bali’s native dogs non-stop over the last few weeks. (With fascinating stories like these how can you blame us?)
Now it’s time to witness these untold stories of Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia together in real life at the COCONUTS TV ON IFLIX screening party.
We’re inviting esteemed media, the documentary filmmaking community, and all COCO+ Members to join us for a special screening of the very best of our original docu-series segments. It will be a crazy fun night complete with free-flow drinks, snacks, and music.
What’s more? We’ve got a panel discussion with the docu-series filmmakers and hosts, a Q&A session, and the chance to network with Bangkok’s forefront movers and shakers in documentary filmmaking. Hey, there might even be a celebrity sighting or two.
This neon-themed party will be taking place at Cinema Oasis from 6:30pm onwards followed by an after party at Sing Sing Theater.. Expect great company, unlimited beer and drinks, lot of photo ops (we highly suggest you dress up for the occasion), and a chance to meet and mingle with the creators of COCONUTS TV ON IFLIX.

Our original docu-series will take you on a journey to explore some of the most compelling individuals in Southeast Asia. It’s deeply personal, totally bizarre, and oh-so-eye-opening. You will delve into the world of Miss Tiffany’s, where transwomen open up about their battles for acceptance in Thai society. You will learn about the struggles of being a little person in the Philippines. You will explore the world of dangdut in Jakarta. And you will meet one badass woman who didn’t let a little thing like polio stop her from becoming a champion powerlifter.
