As America is in the throes of a creepy clown epidemic, with people dressed up as clowns lurking in dark corners to scare the hell out of everyone, a Thai internet user claimed he had snapped the first creepy clown photo in Thailand, which the internet called totally fake.
A photo of what Facebook user P-Kay Kandit claimed was a creepy clown went viral today. The potential clown sighting, which some people said was staged, allegedly happened in Chonburi last night.
User P-Kay was not available for comment but he has deleted the photos.
The user wrote that he was driving with his mother when she spotted someone on the roadside “who dressed like a clown in the news.”
The story was picked up by popular Facebook page Drama-Addict, whose admin said this could just be a scarecrow planted by a Thai farmer.
Others pointed out that the photo is obviously fake since the car’s front was headed into the woods as if the man stopped his car to take photos. Not to mention, he was quick to delete them from the internet.
Anyway, out of all the things you may find in a dark corner in Thailand, just be happy a creepy clown is probably not one of them.
