Humiliated bride tries to have her husband arrested for not paying dowry

A bride in Pathum Thani has asked local police to arrest her husband for not paying her dowry.

The 38-year-old bride, Pannat Yutong, said that her hubby, Somsak, rocked up at the wedding ceremony alone and without any cash.

To avoid  humiliation, Pannat agreed to continue with the wedding ceremony and pay the THB300,000 reception fee herself.

Somsak’s only gift to the family was his “Kan Mak” or bank book, which recorded the groom’s bank account at a paltry few hundred baht.

Somsak claimed that he would pay the THB300,000 and the 10 kg gold dowry another time.

When the groom was questioned about the unpaid dowry, he ran away from their newly-weds’ bedroom.

The authorities said the issue was a civil case, Khaosod reported.
