Former actor rear-ends Honda Jazz with his Lamborghini

A former actor who was convicted of raping a 16-year-old in 2004 was back in the spotlight yesterday when his Lamborghini rammed into the back of another car.

Methas Suansri, 33, caused a Honda Jazz to flip over on a highway in Chatuchak district early yesterday morning while on his way back from a New Year’s celebration with his wife and daughter.

According to witnesses, Methas was speeding through a curve on the highway and rammed into the Honda Jazz when he tried to overtake it.

The Honda Jazz flipped over and the driver suffered a head injury. He was sent to a nearby hospital.

Methas and his family received minor injuries. He passed the alcohol test by police, Manager reported.

Methas is a former model and actor, but his reputation was shattered when he was charged with rape.

In 2004, he was accused of raping a 16-year-old highschool girl and blackmailing her. He confessed to the crime in court and was sentenced to five years in jail in 2008. He immediately appealed and was released on bail.

It is not known whether Methas served a jail term or not, according to MThai.
