An escaped convict who escaped from a Bangkok hospital by stealing a terrified woman’s motorcycle is back behind bars after being turned in by his cousin.

Krissana Kaewchingduang was personally delivered to the Thonburi Remand Prison by his cousin yesterday, one day after he ran out of the Samut Sakhon Hospital in his mint-blue gown.

Police say he now faces additional charges for having escaped custody.

A manhunt was launched Wednesday after Krissana ran out a door, scared a woman off her motorbike and rode off to freedom. The bike was later found abandoned at a Bangkok temple with the keys in the ignition.

Like so many of his fellow inmates, the 30-year-old was serving time on a drug-related conviction when he complained of stomach pains and was taken to a hospital Tuesday night with one guard escorting him.
