Surf skate free till May at new downtown Bangkok mall park

The Market Surf Skate Society just opened Bangkok’s most colorful surf skating rink yet.

Covering an indoor area of 600sqm, this vibrant rink features a range of layouts inside The Market downtown shopping mall by Ratchaprasong intersection. Surfers can hone their skills without having to break the bank, because the rink is free for all visitors until May 15.

Battle the waves and curves on the pump track, freestyle on the slalom track, and see how long you can ride the wave bank.

Skaters can also participate in a competition on Friday and Saturday. Contestants stand a chance to win more than THB300,000.

Participants can apply to participate in the contest starting today. But if you miss out, you can still drop by and grab some cool accessories from fashion brand Nyla, which will be having a warehouse sale on items like longboards and surf skateboards, as well as clothing and accessories from brands like Volcom, and Paul Frank.

The Market Bangkok Ratchaprasong is located on Ratchadamri Road in Bangkok a short walk from BTS Chit Lom. It’s open 10am to 8:30pm daily.
