Glide past rice paddies at the offbeat and very photogenic Farmer Surfer, located far from the hustle and bustle of downtown.

A long concrete half-pipe dotted with mogul-like slopes and palm frond-covered cabanas cater to skateboarders, rollerbladers and surf skaters. But the refreshing view of green fields in the background and #photoops are the real highlight. The scenery alone might justify the long drive northwest to Nonthaburi’s rice paddies.

Skaters can drop in anytime (THB150 per person) as long as they are vaccinated, according to the venue. There are two time slots available for private groups of up to 10 people: morning sessions (THB1,500) and afternoon sessions (THB1,700).

Farmer Surfer is located off the 1009 Nonthaburi Rural Highway in Nonthaburi’s Bang Yai district, about an hour’s drive from downtown.

Too far? Try boarding indoors on Charoen Krung Road.
