London duo ‘Oh Wonder’ tuk-tuk around Bangkok’s old town in ‘How It Goes’ MV

Following three sold-out free gigs in Bangkok’s Chinatown, British alt-pop duo Oh Wonder didn’t miss the chance to hop aboard a tuk-tuk and ride around town for an MV that’s just dropped.

The London-based duo of Anthony West and Josephine Vander Gucht on Wednesday released a new music video for How It Goes, which see them ‘wai’ before a three-wheeler before taking a ride along unrealistically near-empty roads in the capital’s old town.

The whole video was shot in a continuous long-take by music video director Pitchaya “Sua” Jarusboonpracha.

“No matter how many MVs I directed, when it comes to this one, I was still super excited because Oh Wonder is the band I love the most,” Sua wrote. “I used to say that I wanted to direct an MV for them and people laughed at me, even I laughed at myself, because I never thought it would actually happen.”

Sua said his dream came true when he met the band at one of its January gigs in Chinatown. He said it was West who popped the suggestion: “Let’s shoot an MV for a new song, tonight!”

“Then he jumped onto the stage and announced to his fans, “We’ll shoot an MV tonight” and gestured with his hand at me,” Sua wrote. “That’s how it all began. We did a storyboard within an hour before shooting a long-take through Chinatown.”

Oh Wonder began recording music back in 2014. Their popular tracks include Without You, Ultralife, and Livewire.
