The man formerly known as the world’s strongest minister today demonstrated his power to bend time to his will – at least at Bangkok’s public parks.
Starting next week, three city parks will open earlier and close later on the order of Gov. Chadchart Sittipunt.
Starting Monday, Chatuchak, Benjasiri, and Lumphini parks will open half an hour earlier at 4:30am and close an hour later at 10pm.
Enjoy that nighttime strolling.
According to Chadchart, an avid jogger, the longer hours will increase public access to the parks. These three were selected because they already had sufficient safety features and lighting. City Hall will consider expanding hours at other parks, he said.
