JAM screens documentary of Thai HIV patients in Vietnam

The hope, dreams, and daily struggles of two HIV patients in Vietnam will be highlighted at the screening of documentary  “Up the Hills; down the Valley” by Minority Rights Group.

The film follows La and Tuong, two Thai ethnic women living in a mountainous area in the northwest of Vietnam. Both women live with HIV, and the film documents their daily struggle to earn a living and support their families.

The film aims to communicate a message of hope, particularly through the companionship of other women in a local support group.

After the screening, there will be a Q&A section with the film’s director, Gigi Berardi.

The screening will begin at 7pm at JAM. Entry is free.
