If you like your rock music with an injection of twangy banjo and acoustic guitar, then this could be a great night of folk revival for you, Bangkok.
This morning, local promoter BEC-Tero Entertainment announced that British folk rock outfit Mumford and Sons is confirmed to perform in Bangkok for the first time ever, later this winter. The band will be playing their biggest hits, such as “I Will Wait,” “The Cave,” and “Little Lion Man.”
The quartet — consisting of Marcus Mumford on lead vocals, guitar and drums, keyboardist Ben Lovett, guitarist Winston Marshall and bassist Ted Dwayne — will play on November 21 at GMM Muang Thai Live House. The venue is located on the eighth floor of downtown shopping mall CentralWorld.
Tickets will be available online starting Aug. 31, though ticket prices have not yet been revealed.
Mumford and Sons rose to fame in 2009 with its distinctive folk-rock style and spiritual lyrics. The band’s second studio album “Babel” won the Grammy Award for best album of the year in 2013.
Later this year, the band will also perform in Coconuts sister city Singapore, at the Neon Lights Festival.
