Taste weed-scented dishes at an event next week fusing fine dining with a flea market.
Isaan food paired with the scent compounds from a weed strain called Mimosa will be served Feb. 18-19 at High Table, an event taking place in northwest metro Bangkok that will also feature weed vendors and products.
That’s right, there won’t be any THC-infused food to eat because that would still be illegal.
“Our food products won’t contain any THC so everyone can enjoy the event,” organizer Thanakrit Busabok told Coconuts. “At our event, we give local growers who do not have storefronts an opportunity to sell their products and meet like-minded individuals.”
At the flea market, local growers will sell weed – completely legal – and attendees can bask in the dank atmosphere and partake in fun activities.
Thanakrit also explained that dispensaries will host pop-up stores, and a medical area will emphasize the wellness side of things.
The dining and market event, made to help support independent weed growers, will also feature local craft beer and food all day.
Activities will include a rolling contest, wood stamping, kava ceremonies, live music by DJs and bands, and traditional Thai massage. Speakers will also be at the event to talk up weed’s copious benefits.
It will take place at Akkee Thai Delicacies & Tasting Counter located on Soi Chu Chat Anuson 4 in the Pak Kret district of Nonthaburi province.
Tickets come range from THB420 to THB4,200 and are available online.
