The Exploratorium: Siam Discovery reveals lab-themed concept

Closed for renovation since May, Siam Discovery revealed a first glimpse of its grand improvements to the public today as the mall prepares to reopen in the second quarter of this year.

Siam Discovery, aka an aircon walkway from MBK to Siam Center, is hoping to make a comeback this year with the new slogan “Siam Discovery – The Exploratorium”. It says its unique way of displaying products organized by lifestyle, regardless of brands and categories, allows it to act as a “lifestyle lab” for customers.

For its interior design, the mall had the renowned Japanese designer and architect “Nendo” or Oki Sato acting as the main consultant. 

“The concept aims to give the power and encourage creativity to customers, who can mix and match products from different brands and categories… we expect to double sales per square meter within one year,” said Chadatip Chutrakul, CEO of Siam Piwat.

Featuring products from 5,000 brands with a wide price range, the mall aims to target 100,000 customers per day, with 65 percent Thais, Bangkok Biz News reported.
