Calvin Harris, Zedd, Skrillex to put Bangkok on blast at 808 Music Fest

One of the most-promising events EDMsters are looking forward to this year will be a fest with big-name headliners Calvin Harris, Zedd and Skrillex.

The 808 Music Festival recently revealed an exciting partial lineup that includes the arrival of Scottish DJ-producer Calvin Harris, arguably the most famous artist championing the electronic scene these days. He’s best known for Feel So Close, Sweet Nothing and Summer.

It will be his first time performing in Bangkok.

Alongside Harris will be American singer-songwriter and DJ Skrillex, who rose to become the face of dubstep music and won eight Grammys. He holds the world record for most Grammy Awards won by an EDM artist. Among his popular dubstep anthems are the catchy Bangarang, Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites, and First of The Year.

Another name not to miss is Zedd, a Russian-German DJ who last week claimed he’s permanently banned from China for liking a South Park tweet. Drawing influences from diverse genres such as dubstep and classical music, Zedd is recognized for his productions Clarity, Stay and Beautiful Now.

Tickets for all three days are available online for THB3,345 (US$110). Attendees must be 20 and up.

The 808 Music Festival will run Dec. 6-8 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre, or BITEC Bangna. The convention center can be reached from BTS Bang Na
